Osteodisc
is a bone mill designed for use in grafting procedures. It
can be used to transform autologous bone harvest into suitable
particle sizes for use in bone grafting procedures.
The Osteodisc
consists of two distinct devices, one re-usable and one
disposable. The main unit of the Osteodisc
is a hand-held, non-disposable stainless steel instrument
that provides assistance in grinding
large pieces of bone into small granules and consists of an
upper and lower receptacle that is threaded together. The main
unit
has been designed to fit any sterilizer.
The second device is the graded disposable disc-shaft assembly
unit, designed for use solely with the Osteodisc unit to produce
the desired bone granulometry.
